Exchange Retention is the ability to retain and delete information in exchange online. There are two ways that you can do this. Messaging Retention Management (MRM), which helps you keep, archive, and delete information in exchange mailboxes. This approach works for both Exchange Online and Exchange on-premise for versions 2010, 2013, 2016, and 2019.
