and Future-Man has a homemade instrument he calls the Synth-axe drumitar Worst Concert experience - THe #####ing Eagles man at the  Future Man's Synthaxe Drumitar; The afore-mentioned Zendrum; This dude's home-built version. My intended design is more like a Zendrum than the Drumitar . Recorded live, it's a fascinating goulash of instruments with Bela on banjo, Future Man (Victor's brudder Roy) on SynthAxe Drumitar, Sam Bush on mandolin,  Victor is an amazing player, but I have to agree, Futureman's Synthaxe is only good for one viewing, then it gets old. It has all of the elements of bad synthesizer music - kinda like Jan Hammer's music on Miami Vice.

Future Man, Victor Wooten’s older brother and fellow member of the fusion band Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. It seems a wonder that the walls of the White Horse Black Mountain have been able contain the the sheer mass of talent that has appeared on its stage over its eight years of operation. Northern Irish guitarist Gary Moore featured the SynthAxe in the music video for his 1985 single with Phil Lynott, "Out in the Fields." The SynthAxe is a fretted, guitar-like MIDI controller, created by Bill Aitken, Mike Dixon, and the Flecktones drummer Future Man also uses a highly customised version of the SynthAxe that he purchased in its original form from Ritenour.

Future Man—percussion and synthaxe drumitar. Jeff Coffin—saxophones (tenor, alto, baritone), flute, piccolo and clarinet. The music on Hidden Land is instrumental and primarily jazz-fusion in nature. However, as in most Bela Fleck music, there is the infusion of a bluegrass, country flavor to the music.
